We have featured several Byley players’ performances on these pages but this year instead of the usual pantomime they decided to stage a youth production of the Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S Lewis.

 

The eldest member of the cast was 18 and the average age around 11 this gave John Clayton the producer quite a challenge. Fortunately John is a teacher and he was up to the job.

Simon is not one for stage productions but along with Peter he was responsible for lighting and sound.

Sarah and Becky were wood nymphs and their job was that of narrators pictured here.

Featured in the role of Mr Tumnus was John Bickerton son our friend Alan (combine and baler driver) also with his sister Katie.

After in the audience we met their newest arrival Julie (aged about 10 days) pictured here with mother Pat.

Following the last nights performance of the play there is usually a party but this year they included a disco, well it was a youth production.
