April 2005

April 2005 with 61mm of rain rates as our second wettest April since we started recording rain levels
Our wettest was 2001 when we had almost 10cm of rain. Our next graph shows the average monthly rainfall since we started. surprisingly March is our driest month with an average of just 3.4cm.
The graph also shows that August is our wettest month. This is due in part to last years unusually heavy downpours in August which resulted in 21.6cm of rain falling. I think it would be truer to say that October is a more likely candidate only time will tell.
As you may have read in the main report we are experimenting with a new weather station with which to provide more detailed information, to get some idea of what information will be available click here to go to our test page Why not start your own weather station up either at school or home and compare your results to ours. we would be interested to see them. Regards Phil.
