With 61mm of rainfall September had exactly the same amount of precipitation as last year although it felt a lot drier. this was because unlike August of 2004 which had record amounts of rainfall August this year was more of a seasonal norm. This allowed the ground to absorb this months rainfall, hence the drier feel.

This has brought our annual rainfall for 2005 up to 500mm. it is in with a chance of being our third wettest since we started records.
