THE MIDDLE MEADOW
This is the largest field on the farm at 5.30 h.a.
It is primarily a grazing field, but excessive growth of spring grass often leads to half of the field being cut for silage or hay.
It is not as sheltered as the Left Hand Meadow due to its area and few bordering riverbank trees, However we are trying to compensate for this lack of tree cover by allowing the hedges to to grow higher i.e. approximately 3 meters
Although bordered by the River Dane it does not suffer from flooding to the same extent as the Left Hand Meadow
