In order to facilitate ease of handling and reduce the chances of injury to both animal and human parties good facilities for the job are essential For this purpose we have special stalls in which the animals can be placed to reduce their movements while providing easy access for the vet.

 

 HOOF TRIMMING.

Some cows feet can get overgrown so they need trimming.

In these pictures Guy our hoof trimmer is hard at work on this cows feet. (at least that's what he said:-)

 

 

Guy uses a special "crush" to restrain the cow while he carries out the work in safety for himself and the cow.
